Well, we've come all the way to 39 weeks and 5 days, and there are no signs of the baby yet. It's been a while since our last post, and most of April was spent frantically getting the remaining items ready just in case our little one decided to make an early entrance. However, it appears we will be planning for an on-time or late departure. Seatbacks and tray tables are locked and in their upright position.
Not much else to report at this point. Bobbi is still working, but plans to make this Friday her last official day at the office, just in case we are still waiting at that point. My schedule has basically been clear for the past two weeks, and it's oddly disconcerting and yet very freeing to be able to make plans on the fly. Normally I find myself booked for months on end.
Hopefully the next post will be with the good news.

Our 3D Ultrasound
For your viewing pleasure, here's an edited version of our 3D Ultrasound from this past Saturday. It's also my first time playing with iMovie. Enjoy!

Preparing
Now that we're officially in the third trimester, things are moving right along. We have the baby room painted and all the furniture is assembled (by yours truly). We have also taken two classes so far - one for birth preparation and one for newborn care. And there are still more classes to take! New dads bootcamp is on my calendar, along with car seat safety, breastfeeding (not sure how much of that I will be doing) and a tour of the hospital. Whew! Combined with visits from the in-laws, baby showers and trips to Nebraska, we are running a very full schedule and the baby hasn't even come yet.
Of course, it's not all work - we are going to get out of town for a quick babymoon the first weekend of April. A nice romantic weekend in Estes Park is just what the doctor ordered. Plus, I get to go golfing during the baby shower, so I can't complain too much.
Life is good. :)

It's a Boy!
Sorry for the delay in postings but we are recovering from the holidays! We found out on December 21 that the gender predicting pencil test was, surprisingly, incorrect. It's crazy to think that you can't depend on a pencil and a piece of string to accurately predict the gender of your baby. :)
Thanks to medical science and a 21 week ultrasound we found out that we're having a Baby Boy!
The nursery has already been painted a beautiful green (thanks to Leif and Robert) and baby furniture arrives any day now. Leif is really looking forward to assembling all of the furniture.
